Rizwan Scholars (also commonly referred to as RizScholars) is a project of Air Cdre Rizwanullah Khan Shaheed Memorial Trust, a not for profit philanthropic organization which supports higher education initiatives for young Pakistan. RizScholars offers scholarships to academically exceptional but economically challenged young Pakistanis regardless of gender, religion or ethnicity.
RizScholars draws inspiration from Quaid e Azam Mohammad Ali Jinnah’s vision of an enlightened Pakistan where all citizens enjoy equal rights, especially to education, and is dedicated to the memory of Air Cdre Rizwanullah Khan, a fighter pilot of the Pakistan Air Force who lost his life in the line of duty.
RizScholars believes that Pakistan’s greatest asset is its young population, a critical mass poised to drive positive change in society provided it is equipped with knowledge. RizScholars perceives itself as an agent for mobilization of young Pakistan towards fulfillment of the nation’s aspiration of an ethical, just and tolerant society offering highest standards in scientific education, research and development.
RizScholars is a community-based initiative inviting Pakistanis and their friends across the world to contribute towards nation building through higher education. RizScholars is committed to good governance through best practices compliance in program delivery and financial management. RizScholars holds sacred the trust reposed in it by all stakeholders and promises never to engage in any initiative that compromises either the dignity of human beings or the integrity of Pakistan.
